The first general meeting of the SmartLivingNEXT project took place on 1 February 2024. The project aims to become the first digital ecosystem for secure, cross-manufacturer and GAIA-X-compliant data availability and utilisation for living environments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Smart services for different types of buildings are made executable, which are cheaper to produce - thus enabling the comprehensive use of AI services. In addition, the market entry barriers for those services from different providers are lowered, thus counteracting monopolisation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
C&S is participating in the project because it will make it possible for people in need of care or assistance to use smart living technologies cost-effectively in different living situations and to access AI-based services that enable greater security and thus self-determination in their own homes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The C&S assistance application scenario in the project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the problems addressed concerns single people without a solid social network who fall unnoticed into helplessness. Here, the basic AI service \"Still Alive\" offers a solution that can be used in any household with a smart meter - without the need to purchase additional sensors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By connecting the MCD platform to the SmartLivingNEXT ecosystem, C&S will realise this scenario on the basis of GAIA-X and add further application options, such as activity patterns. These patterns can be processed with the help of AI models and provide relatives or care services with information on whether the level of care has changed or the need for assistance has increased. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The aim of C&S's work is to understand one's own home as a living space and health location and to enable people to remain independent for as long as possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
